Choices - Derbyshire, Buxton

Choices - Derbyshire is a registered charity opened in 2007. We offer a warm welcome to women or couples of any age who find themselves facing difficult decisions about a pregnancy and also those experiencing distress following an abortion, miscarriage or stillbirth. We offer a range of pregnancy support services including confidential counselling, advice and leaflets on abortion, adoption and parenting help, as well as practical support with a befriender, free baby equipment, or counselling following pregnancy loss. Our trained advisers will listen without judging you and offer all the information and support you need. They have all had specialist accredited training in pregnancy and post abortion counselling and adhere to the code of good practice and ethical framework of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). They are also CRB police checked and receive ongoing training and counselling supervision to ensure good practice. We are based in Buxton above The Source coffee shop on Terrace Road and we also offer a flexible appointment system using outreach facilities such as GP surgeries or community centres across the High Peak, Derbyshire Dales, North Derbyshire and surrounding area - including Chapel-en-le-Frith, Whaley Bridge, New Mills, Glossop, Hope Valley, Bakewell, Matlock, Wirksworth, Ashbourne and Chesterfield. Please call our confidential 24 hour answerphone and leave a message with your name and contact number, preferably stating your town/area. We will return your call within 24 hours Mon - Friday.
