WHAT WE DO:

CRISIS PREGNANCY:
Sometimes, finding you are unexpectedly pregnant can be a difficult and confusing experience. Maybe you are faced with no easy answers. At the Centre you can talk to a trained counsellor who will listen, offer you time and space to think, provide you with additional information, and help you to consider the possible options — termination (abortion), adoption and parenting.

You are welcome to come alone or bring your partner or a friend with you. We provide a non-judgemental and confidential counselling environment.

Quote from a crisis pregnancy client “Thankyou to the lovely staff for making the visit as relaxing as it could be”

MISCARRIAGE/STILLBIRTH/NEONATAL DEATH SUPPORT:
The Centre offers pregnancy loss counselling i.e. miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal death. Grief and unanswered questions can make the loss of a pregnancy very hard to bear. The Centre offers an unlimited number of sessions so is available for as long as you need support. Men and women can both be seen but usually with different counsellors.

POST ABORTION/TERMINATION COUNSELLING:
A termination of pregnancy can leave you with a range of unexpected emotions such as anger, sorrow or regret. We are here to help you work through those feelings and ‘move on’ after your loss through a counselling programme called ‘The Journey’.

INFERTILITY/CHILDLESSNESS SUPPORT:
The Centre offers infertility support for anyone facing infertility issues or childlessness support for those that have been unable to sustain a pregnancy to delivery. You will be given time and space to talk about your feelings and support as you try to find a way forward.

SEX & RELATIONSHIP LESSONS IN SCHOOLS:
In line with an individual school's Sex and Relationships policy, we offer a series of lessons. Typically the lessons explore areas such as self-esteem, relationships, S.T.I.s, pregnancy, and sources of help. All lessons include group work activities, discussion, videos and question time. We work alongside teachers to facilitate discussion of these issues with the aim of enabling young people to make responsible and informed decisions. We find that our practical experience at the Centre supports our work with pupils.
