WIPCS is a free, confidential, caring support service extended to anyone (men as well as women) in the community of the Western Isles who is struggling with any pregnancy related difficulty. If you are unsure about what to do or who to turn to on discovering an unplanned pregnancy, we offer unrestricted time with trained advisors who will help you explore your options. You will have the opportunity to discuss all the facts so that you can make an informed decision rather than one based on fear or panic. If you have suffered the pain of bereavement through ectopic or molar pregnancy, miscarriage, still birth or neonatal death we would like to offer you emotional support. Your loss may have been recent or many years ago. We would like to support you if you are trying to come to terms with infertility or going through the emotional roller coaster of infertility treatment including IVF. We also offer a post abortion recovery programme called "the Journey" if you find you are experiencing feelings of anger, guilt, shame, grief or depression following abortion. We recognise it takes courage to seek help in any of these difficult situations. This is a safe place where you will be respected and cared for, not judged or pressurised in any way.
