I had an abortion in 1996. I knew straight away that I was in no place to have or care for a baby. My partner and I discussed it and I was referred by my GP to another doctor and then to hospital. The procedure was quick and painless and I was out of hospital the same day.I never regretted my decision, not for one second. I was given counselling at the time I made my decision to make sure I was making the right decision and know it was the right one for me.
Even when I suffered (non related) infertility issues later on I didn't regret my decision. Even when I suffered a miscarriage, even when I went through IVF, even when I had ante-natal testing - I didn't regret my decision.
