I'm 18 and yesterday I had an abortion.

I'm 18 and yesterday I had an abortion. I'm telling my story so I can help girls who were as scared as I was. I'm going to be as honest as possible.
My first appointment at hospital I was taken with the nurse to give my details and to talk about the process and if I was sure about my decision. I had a scan on my tummy and a blood test. After that I was given my first little tablet! I was really scared to take it as I knew I couldn't go back after that and I was scared what was going to happen to me. I had to wait in the clinic for 20 mins later so the nurses knew I was ok! I then got a train home with the boyfriend and went home. When I got home I was completely fine no pain and no bleeding!

My second appointment. The nurse called me into a room and gave me 4 tablets in a bowl with a massive sanitary pad. She showed me the bathrooms and told me every time I was to use the toilet I had to pee in a bedpan and show the nurse once finished. I can't even explain how scared I was. I just stood in the bathroom for a while trying to pluck up the courage to put them in. In the end I put all of the 4 tablets up my vagina. I was really scared what was going to happen.
I was then taken into this room which had a radio and big comfy chairs with other girls that had just inserted their tablets too. It made me feel better seeing other girls going through the same thing. After about an hour I started getting period pains so I had some painkillers. After a while I had the most awful pain I have ever experienced and I fainted!
The nurse helped me to the toilet and I was sick. I had never been in so much pain ever. I felt constipated so I sat on the toilet but nothing was coming out. I decided to just stay on the toilet for a while. Then all of a sudden I had this urge and the embryo came out! I was so upset but felt relieved.
I called the nurse and she identified it. She then told me that it had worked and I had passed the baby. I was still in a lot of pain (like bad period pains). I was given 7 tablets to take for infection just to be safe. A few hours later I was allowed to go home.
I had extremely bad period pains but took paracetamol every 4 hours and had a hot water bottle.
The next day I woke up and I had no pains and didn't even feel pregnant any more. I was still bleeding a lot but it was just like a heavy period and then I also had another clot but it doesn't hurt when they come out! I'm glad my boyfriend of 4 years was with me the whole time and both appointments as I don't think any women could do that alone! Hope I helped x
