I had a medical abortion yesterday at 10 weeks pregnant

I had a medical abortion yesterday at 10 weeks pregnant and I wanted to share my experience with others after all the horror stories I read about medical abortions.
With an abusive ex partner before I even took the pregnancy test I knew what my decision was going to be so as soon as it came back positive I made an appointment with my GP who referred me to the hospital.
I finally got my first appointment through and was horrified that I had to sit in the waiting room with families that were waiting for their routine scans. As I was called in I felt sick and light headed but I knew it was for the best.
The doctors and nurses were great. I had a scan (and was so relieved the screen was faced away so I didn't have to see it), had a blood test, and took my first tablet. I was then sent home and told to come back 48 hours later to finish the procedure. The tablet did make me feel very sick, but that wore off after around an hour.
It came to the morning of my next appointment and I felt so stressed and worried about what I had read on other people's experiences of medical abortions. Luckily I had my friend with me and again the nurses were great. They placed four tablets into the vagina and I was told to lay down for an hour then go for a walk to help speed the process.
I started to feel slight cramps but nothing major I was waiting for them to get worse but they didn't. After an hour walk I sat on the bed and when I stood up I felt a gush of blood and found the foetus on my pad. I would advice anyone not to look at it as it made me feel quite emotional although I still don't regret what I did. I was told by the nurse I now had to wait to pass the sac but 10 minutes later that come too. No pain relief and half an hour later I was discharged so much better then I expected and today I feel glad that it's all over.
