A fourth unplanned pregnancy

By anonymous on 12/08/2012
I'm 25, a married mother of three 2 boys and one girl, my oldest is nearly 5 and my youngest turned 2 yesterday.
I have just found out that I'm pregnant again, I was on contraception so don't understand, but things happen! My husband goes to full time work so I have got the kids full time.
I just don't know what to do. Previously before having my children I had 6 miscarriages which caused a lot of stress and emotion. Then when I fell with my 1st I was so happy but knew I would like more so had my other two.
I'm just not sure what to do!!

An unplanned pregnancy is often a shock especially when you were using contraception. Having so many miscarriages gives you a different perspective and you were obviously thrilled with your other pregnancies. I wonder how you would feel if you decided to terminate this pregnancy? it sometimes helps to imagine life in a year or two with 3 children, and then with 4 children. I'm sure it would help you to talk through your thoughts and feelings with someone independent. You can call the national helpline 0300 4000 999, log on to Online advisor, or follow the link to find a centre for pregnancy choices support in your area.
