Okay. I just found out last week that I was two weeks pregnant. I don't know what to do and I have no idea how to tell my parents about this. The guy's still with me but I need my parents support. I am really stressed out.

Editor’s note: Thanks for writing in…It sounds as if support is really what you’re looking for right now. What you could do is contact your nearest centre and arrange to talk with someone. You would have the opportunity to talk through your feelings, obtain information about all the options open to you and find support for telling your parents too.

Alternatively, you could just go to your parents and say, ‘I don’t know how to tell you this, and I’m really stressed out, but I need your support right now. I’ve just found out I’m pregnant’. Why not say it just like it is? You won’t be able to control their responses, but you will have done what you feel you need to do. Visiting a centre might be a good idea as well so that you can have a safe and friendly place to say anything you want to. You could ring the helpline first, or use Online Advisor to find the support you need.
