I am 8 weeks pregnant and was going to go ahead with the abortion, but went to the counselling session and scan and broke down. I had previously experienced a miscarriage at the beginning of this year and it tore me apart. I'm nearly 22 and 'yes' I was careful with contraception but I've been unfortunate. I'm really unsure of what to do because the father is not going to be there.

Editor's Comment:-

The counselling session and scan must have triggered a difficult reaction for you. Perhaps this was linked to losing the pregnancy at the beginning of the year and the feeling that you were losing another pregnancy. I think it is important to think carefully about your reaction, and consider how you might feel if you ended this pregnancy. You are in a difficult position if you have no support from the father, but it is also very hard to live with the regret of a decision that you are unhappy about.
You may like to talk this through with someone and there are trained advisors on the national helpline 0300 4000 999 who can help you to think through your decision.
