Crisis Pregnancy Part One; Keeping My Baby Part Two.

By anonymous on 22/05/2008
Hi, I wrote to you when I was seven weeks pregnant and had an unplanned pregnancy that put me in a crisis situation. I have three children already and I was considering termination as my husband had previously had a heart attack and didn’t want any more children.

I went through the process of a surgical termination, although I was very confused. But hey, two days before I was due to attend; I suddenly thought clearly that I wanted to go ahead with my pregnancy. I’m not saying this decision was easy but I had two options and I talked to my husband who advised it was up to me. So with his support, I made my decision. I know things are still going to be difficult. I have three girls aged 10, 9 and 5. I’m now 20 weeks pregnant and having a little boy. This to me has made it all worthwhile and I feel it was fate and meant to be! All I can say to anyone with mixed feelings is to follow your heart as it’s your decision. Situations do change and we all manage.

Editor’s note: Thanks for sending us Part Two!..It sounds as if you are completely at peace with your decision, despite the circumstantial difficulties that presented themselves to you at the start. We look forward to hearing about the birth of your little boy!
