I'm 17 and I think I'm pregnant

By anonymous on 23/08/2011
I'm 17 and had sex for the first time with one of my really good friends. He is married and has a child. I feel terrible about that.. But now I think I'm pregnant?? My mom has no idea and would have a heart attack. I haven't told anyone. Not even him. I'm so scared. I would be probably about 7, 8, maybe 9 weeks? I've gained a few pounds.. Is this normal? I don't even know if I am pregnant! Could a pregnancy test be accurate at this stage? Would it do any good? I'm so scared. My parents would disown me. I just don't know what to do anymore.

It is possible that you could be pregnant particularly if you did not use contraception. The first thing you need to do is to get a pregnancy test done. You can do this at a local pregnancy centre find a centre for pregnancy support in your area., a contraception and sexual health clinic, or local pharmacy. There is support for you and help if you need it. Once you have a pregnancy test result you can get support from Careconfidential You can call the national helpline 0300 4000 999, log on to Online advisor, or follow the link to find a centre for crisis pregnancy support in your area.
