A 15 year old girl with a possible crisis pregnancy

By anonymous on 28/10/2011
I'm 15 and on the mini pill but I didn't know I had to take it at the same time each day. I have taken a pregnancy test but only from the pound shop and it came up saying error. I am experiencing very light brown discharge and I'm 8 days late, my boyfriend knows and his family will support me but I don't know how to break it to my mother. I have come down with a lot of symptoms such as belly pains in the lower parts, back ache occasionally and sometimes feel nauseous. I can only sleep on my back or I feel sick and my breasts are beginning to feel heavy, sensitive and uncomfortable. I don't understand what's going on and I'm terrified because I know my family will disown me. Please help me

The first thing you need to do is to go and get a reliable pregnancy test, preferably done by someone who is confident to do a test and give you a reliable result. A pregnancy centre networked by Careconfidential would be able to do this for you find a centre for pregnancy support in your area.
It sounds as though you are getting some unusual symptoms, and the mini pill is less effective unless it is taken at the same time each day, so that may have put you at risk. Once you have a definite result you will know what you are facing, and if you are pregnant it will be important to think through your options with someone objective who can help and support you through this time find a centre for crisis pregnancy support in your area.
