I am 15 years old and just had a baby.It is a girl and very healthy she weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces. I am scared that dcf will take her away. I want to keep her because she is my baby, but I also want to keep going to school and I am in the 9th grade. Is their daycare that she can go to and I will still be able to keep her? I know I have made bad choices but I don't want to give my sweetheart away. If I could do it all over I wouldn't have got pregnant in the first place. I just thought it would be cool to have a child of my own. I guess I will have to face the consequences of my choices. I have got to go my baby is crying and she needs a feed. I need somebody's advice on what to do. Thank you.

Editor's Comment:-

You are very young to be coping with finishing your schooling and looking after your baby. It must be very hard for you, but she is obviously very special to you. If you have enough support at home, you should be able to keep your baby with you. There are nurseries available for day care, and some local education authorities have units where you can study and have your baby with you at the same place.
Your health visitor may be able to give you some information about this, or you could arrange to see your tutor at school so that they can arrange some support for you.
