Married with an unplanned pregnancy

Hi, I am 37 years old and have been married for 11 years. I have a beautiful son who is 7 years old. I have just found out I am pregnant.
I was on the pill, so this has been a real shock to me. My immediate feeling was to have an abortion.
Financially we can't afford another baby. My husband is self employed, and I have been on anti depressants and have not worked for a year. However, 10% of me is thinking I should keep this baby. I have an appointment at the doctors tomorrow to be referred for an abortion. Any advice would be gratefully received.

My advice to you is that if there is a significant doubt in your mind, you and your husband should talk through your decision with an independent counsellor. Something under the surface is making you think that keeping the baby is an option you should consider and ignoring this could be very painful.
