After finding out I was pregnant, and my partner telling me he wanted an abortion, I didn't know which way to turn

By anonymous on 11/05/2009
After finding out I was pregnant, and my partner telling me he wanted an abortion, I didn't know which way to turn and so I called CareConfidential, who then passed me onto the Bridge Centre. The Bridge were able to see me more or less immediately and I was able to speak in confidence about my situation. The staff at the centre were non judgmental, understanding and discreet. It was an extremely confusing and upsetting time for me and I am truly grateful to the staff at the Bridge for helping me through this time and giving me some clarity of thought. It took a while, but my partner and I resolved our problems and decided to have the baby, but sadly the pregnancy resulted in miscarriage. The Bridge were so supportive and made me feel that I was always welcome to call or drop in if I felt that I needed to talk things through. Thank you again for all of your help. Ps...I'm pregnant again!!!
