I have a baby girl and when she was born in March 2009, the baby and I could not go home. The social worker would not let us just go home, so we went into a foster placement. Then in April they put me in a mother and baby unit but when I was going home from the mother and baby unit I was still not allowed to take my baby home. She was going to go into foster care and my baby was only 5 months old.Editor's Comment:-
That is very sad that you are not able to care for your baby. I hope you are able to stay in touch and visit her at her foster home. It is not always easy to understand why decisions like this are made, but I hope your baby is well looked after and growing up in a loving home.
